Default Fey's Scenery Commissions

Fey's Scenic Commissions

Hey, Some may recognise me, i previously attempted to draw human guildwars figures, obviously not my forte, so id like to attempt to breach into a new realm of art on this forum (May or may not be wanted, but lets see how it goes)

Id like to draw/depict landscapes and scenary of guildwars, have a screencap you love but perhaps it looks too 'sharp' or perhaps you would like to add something or take something away?
Perhaps a custom guildhall?
A custom PvP Map?

Il take a screencap and your instructions to produce a piece of scenic art tailored for you.

I dont have an example at the moment, as my latest work is probabaly copyrighted as i choose to draw and manipulate another artists work off another site (i do not wish to make it a non-personal endeavor by posting on the web and therefore breaching copyright)

When it does come to pricing they will be relatively cheap as im learning to improve my technique daily but i need a little motivation now and again to pick up my pencil

Quote:
A short FAQ

What medium do you use?

-I dont draw digitally, its all on paper, firstly i use a sketching pencil to draw a general sketch and indicate shadows/dark areas. Then i use a watercolour wash on areas of block colour, then i simply detail in watercolour.

What kinds of scenes do you prefer to draw?

-I prefere very detailed scenes, im not one for rolling hills or empty plains, i enjoy painting forests, lush landscapes and buildings, if your looking for a very idyllic scene im probabaly not the right artist, my forte is in small details, i struggle very much to make large areas of 'sameness' 'work'.
[I]Pricing for Commissions

A Full landscape such as
Will cost a mere 10k, im doing it this low as its a serious hobby and i really want to improve

If you have a special request feel free to ask.
Pricing is subject to change....never UPWARDS as i will discount if i enjoyed painting the piece :P

hello, i am interested in seeing what you can do.

i have picked this place for you - it's in the northern shiverpeaks

thank you. i look forward to seeing what you come up with.

and if you would like, you could add more falling snow and a bigger beam of light that comes through the cavern.

Ooh ooh I have lots of lovely pictures that I'd like to commission:

Here, I love both of these - you choose which you'd like to do.

The first one is a shot of the Kournan wilderness, and I do so love those trees. It's a tad orange, though; a bluer or pinker sky would improve it vastly, I think.
The second is of the birch forest in Mineral Springs. I love the bright snow and the blue sky, but the white gets kind of excessive. Perhaps adding more blue or purple to the tree trunks and a bit more of that sparkling gold color to the patches of ground would help.

Thanks for this offer! I'm excited to see what you do, especially since it's so rare to find a fanartist who paints landscapes.

@ Qing; Wow! both your screenies are great! and i can really see the vision you have on both, im torn on which to do >,< , Whichever i decide il start tomorrow and i estimate it will be done by beginning of next week, although im busy from fri-wednesday, il try to get it done

oh ok. would either of these work for you? x or x?
with either, if you choose one, i would add more purple/orange to the plants.

i hope one works for you

EDIT your idea to add more vines/lily pads sounds great - it would add a lot to the picture. thank you.

That first one is lovely I was thinking to add more plants perhaps vines/creepers to the cliffs and perhaps some purple/red lillypads to the water.
Sound good to you?

Finished Qings request

Not that much of a differance, slightly pinker sky, that bush under the main tree gave me hell so i just gave up eventually :P
Took about 4 hours total >< i really enjoyed painting it though
Dont like how it looks too close up, you can see white bits that i cba to paint, my brushstrokes etc, so il not hurt your eyes to give you a horrible closeup :P

Here it is!

Like a colour gradiant or a two colour graduated background?

Wow, that looks great! You make the trees look so good... I can never get branches right. And it looks a lot better without all the orange from the SS. Nice brushwork on the clouds, too.

I can't wait to see what you put out next!

Thanks alot Qing Thats a huge ego-boost, i LOVE drawing vegetation so im so glad you picked it up as a strength!
Whats better is i thought my weakness was clouds/sky, im glad im improving
I think my ground and the bottom half/quarter is a bit rubbish, i got a bit bored with the orangey ground as you can tell :P

Just painting on something that's not white. Generally when you're painting colors, white and black are stuff you want to avoid as much as possible.

Very nice work. I agree with Qing Guang, awesome trees

I was wondering if you would like to try this one for a commission:

Maybe remove the black rock on the right side... it's up to you.

Thanks
